The
tragic and sudden death of Diana, Princess of Wales shook the whole world.
Although the book of condolence is now closed you may still contribute to
the memorial fund set up in her name. You may still also view all the
pages about the funeral and the preparations for it during that first, sad
week of September 1997.
The funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales took place on
Saturday, 6th September, at 11.00 a.m.
BST (10:00 am
GMT) at Westminster Abbey.

at her funeral is reproduced in full here.
At the request of the families, the coffin of Diana,
Princess of Wales laid privately in the Chapel Royal, within St. James's
Palace, before the funeral. Her coffin was carried in Procession to
Westminster Abbey on the
morning of the funeral.
Following the service at Westminster Abbey, the coffin
of Diana, Princess of Wales was taken by road to the Spencer family home
at Althorp for private burial. |
